- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Cooking spray
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in egg, and finally roll in breadcrumbs. Repeat for a double coating.
- Place sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
- Lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry at 400°F for 5-6 minutes, until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Freeze the mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes before coating for easier handling.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing.
- For extra crispiness, spray lightly with oil halfway through cooking.
