  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 4 cups bread cubes
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh herbs (sage, thyme, parsley)
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned. Remove and drain excess fat.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion, celery, and garlic until softened.
  4. Combine bread cubes, cooked sausage, apples, and sautéed vegetables in a large bowl.
  5. Add herbs, salt, and pepper, then mix well.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and beaten eggs, stirring until evenly moistened.
  7. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on top.
