Sweet and salty caramel pretzel rods with a crunchy texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 12 pretzel rods

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Add butter and stir until fully melted.
  4. Slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla and salt.
  6. Dip each pretzel rod into the caramel, coating evenly.
  7. Let excess caramel drip off before placing on the baking sheet.
  8. Allow to cool and harden before serving.
