A moist chocolate loaf swirled with raspberry jam for a sweet and tangy flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture.
  5. Pour half the batter into the pan. Swirl in half the raspberry jam.
  6. Add remaining batter, then swirl in the rest of the jam.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Use seedless raspberry jam for smoother swirls.
  • Let the loaf cool completely before slicing.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
