2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes if it’s too soft to handle.
