A creamy and rich white cheddar fondue perfect for dipping bread, vegetables, or meats.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the minced garlic.
  2. Pour the white wine and lemon juice into the pot and heat gently.
  3. In a bowl, toss the shredded cheeses with cornstarch.
  4. Gradually add the cheese mixture to the pot, stirring constantly until smooth.
  5. Stir in mustard powder, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of dippers.

  • Use high-quality white cheddar for the best flavor.
  • Keep the heat low to prevent the cheese from separating.
  • If the fondue is too thick, add a splash of warm wine.
