  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup (120g) breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp (5g) salt
  • 1 tsp (5g) black pepper
  • 1 tsp (5g) paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5g) garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup (240ml) cocktail sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rinse shrimp and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Dredge shrimp in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve with cocktail sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-coat shrimp in breadcrumbs.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for a lighter texture.
