A simple and delicious dessert featuring peaches poached in a vanilla-infused syrup using a crockpot for effortless preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled and halved
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place peach halves in the crockpot.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, vanilla bean (or extract), and cinnamon stick. Bring to a simmer until sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour the syrup over the peaches in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours until peaches are tender.
  5. Remove peaches and serve warm or chilled with syrup.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm peaches for best results.
  • Vanilla bean adds richer flavor, but extract works too.
  • Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
