A zesty and tangy cranberry relish with a hint of fresh ginger. Perfect as a side dish for holiday meals or as a condiment.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and pick out any stems.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst (about 10 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in grated ginger, orange zest, and juice.
  5. Let cool to room temperature before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Adjust sugar to taste if cranberries are too tart.
