- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped (or 2 tsp vanilla extract)
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla bean seeds (or extract) and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until combined.
- Shape dough into a log, wrap in plastic, and chill for 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
