- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- Place chicken in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the slow cooker.
- Cook for an additional 30 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Garnish with green onions and orange zest before serving.
Notes
- For crispier chicken, brown it in a pan before adding to the slow cooker.
