  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Let it cool slightly.
  2. Mix sugars and browned butter in a bowl.
  3. Add egg and vanilla, then stir.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in hazelnuts.
  7. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Scoop dough onto baking sheets.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
