- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Whisk flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl for coating.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat in cinnamon-sugar.
- Place on baking sheets 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring.
