A spicy and creamy black bean dip perfect for parties and gatherings. Serve with tortilla chips or fresh veggies.

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork.
  3. Add sour cream, mayonnaise, salsa, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stir in half the shredded cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a small oven-safe dish.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add diced jalapeños.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
