  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.
  2. Slice jalapeños lengthwise and remove seeds.
  3. Mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Dip each stuffed jalapeño in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  6. Fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
