Mini crab cakes are bite-sized appetizers made with crab meat, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix crab meat, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into small patties.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the crab cakes for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh crab meat for best results.
  • Chill the mixture for 30 minutes before shaping for easier handling.
  • Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
