A rich and creamy mushroom pâté made with simple ingredients. Perfect as a spread or dip.

Ingredients

  • 250g mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, cook until soft.
  3. Add mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until mushrooms release their liquid.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Transfer mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
  6. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Serve with crackers or toasted bread.
  • For a vegan version, replace butter with olive oil and heavy cream with coconut cream.
