  • 45 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour melted butter into a 9-inch round cake pan.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the butter.
  4. Arrange peach slices on top of the sugar mixture.
  5. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. In another bowl, beat granulated sugar, milk, vanilla, and egg.
  7. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then pour over peaches.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
