  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, and pinto beans.
  4. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  5. Pour in water and bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce heat and let cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
