  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press into the baking dish to form a crust.
  3. Bake crust for 15 minutes.
  4. Whisk pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, brown sugar, and spices. Pour over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle pecans and reserved crumb mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until set. Cool before slicing.

  • Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
