Delicious brownies with a swirl of pumpkin for a seasonal twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Spread half the batter in the pan.
  5. Mix pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and nutmeg into remaining batter.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of pumpkin batter over the first layer. Swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For fudgier brownies, reduce baking time by 5 minutes.
  • Can be frozen for up to 1 month.
