A hearty and flavorful pumpkin turkey chili perfect for cool weather. This dish combines ground turkey, pumpkin puree, and spices for a unique twist on traditional chili.

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  5. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Add pumpkin puree, diced tomatoes, black beans, and chicken broth.
  7. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
