A moist and flavorful upside-down cake made with ripe bananas and cooked to perfection in a slow cooker.

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Grease the slow cooker insert with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Arrange banana slices in a single layer at the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the bananas and drizzle melted butter on top.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add milk, egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour batter over the bananas in the slow cooker.
  7. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
