- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, smashed
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 bay leaf
- 8 cups water
- Salt to taste
