Tender, flavorful beef cooked slowly with Korean-inspired flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Place beef chunks in slow cooker.
  2. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  3. Pour mixture over beef and add sliced onion.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Shred beef with forks and mix with sauce.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more red pepper flakes.
  • Serve over rice or in lettuce wraps.
  • Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 3 days.
