  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix salsa, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Pour the salsa mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Shred the chicken with forks and stir back into the sauce.
  6. Top with shredded cheese and cilantro if desired.
