A smooth and flavorful apple butter made with warm spices, slow-cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 6 lbs apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place chopped apples in a slow cooker.
  2. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 hours.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Blend until smooth using an immersion blender.
  7. Cook uncovered for 1-2 more hours until thickened.
  8. Let cool before storing.

Notes

  • Use sweet apples like Fuji or Gala for best results.
