- 2 lbs fresh spinach, washed and chopped
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add spinach and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
- Drain excess liquid from spinach.
- Stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Mix in half of the Gruyère and Parmesan cheeses.
- Transfer spinach mixture to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Use fresh spinach for best results.
- You can substitute Gruyère with Swiss cheese if needed.
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes.
