- 2 cups vital wheat gluten
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, sage, and black pepper.
- Add the vegetable broth, soy sauce, and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it becomes elastic.
- Shape the dough into a log or roast shape and wrap it tightly in aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped roast on a baking sheet and bake for 90 minutes.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
