A classic cheese ball made with cream cheese and cheddar, rolled in nuts and herbs. Perfect for parties.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. On a plate, combine chopped pecans and parsley. Roll the cheese ball in the nut mixture until coated.
  4. Serve with crackers or sliced vegetables. Refrigerate leftovers.

Notes

  • You can substitute walnuts or almonds for pecans.
  • For a spicier ball, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Make ahead: Prepare up to 2 days in advance. Keep wrapped in fridge.
