Apple cider donuts are a delicious fall treat made with fresh apple cider and warm spices.

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk sugars, apple cider, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fill donut pan cavities 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.

Notes

  • Use fresh apple cider for best flavor.
  • Don’t overmix the batter to keep donuts tender.
