Apple pancake dippers are a fun breakfast. You dip apple slices in batter and cook them until golden. Serve with syrup or yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large apples, cored and sliced into rings or wedges
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Beat egg, milk, and vanilla in another bowl.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry. Stir until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Dip apple slices into batter. Coat well.
  6. Place in hot pan. Cook 2 minutes per side until golden.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with syrup or yogurt.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith.
  • Keep batter thick. Add more flour if needed.
