A creamy cheesecake with a spiced apple topping and buttery graham cracker crust.

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press into bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool.
  2. Beat cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and sour cream. Pour over crust.
  3. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Cook until apples soften. Spread over cheesecake batter.
  4. Place pan in a water bath. Bake for 60 minutes or until center is set. Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool inside with door ajar.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth batter.
  • Cool cheesecake gradually to prevent cracking.
  • Refrigerate overnight for best texture.
