- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- Mix in the yogurt until combined.
- Fold in the dry ingredients until just moistened. Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
