Cold brew coffee is a smooth, rich beverage made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water for an extended period. It’s less acidic and less bitter than hot brewed coffee.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans
  • 4 cups cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine coffee grounds and cold water in a jar.
  2. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are wet.
  3. Cover and let steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
  4. Strain the concentrate through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  5. Dilute concentrate with water or milk to taste.
  6. Serve over ice.

Notes

  • Use a coarse grind to prevent over-extraction.
  • Store concentrate in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • Adjust the steeping time for stronger or milder flavor.
