- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Add broccoli during the last 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 3-4 minutes).
- Reduce heat to low. Add cheddar, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until cheese melts.
- Stir in macaroni and broccoli. Cook for 1 minute until heated through. Serve immediately.
