This creamy Cajun chicken pasta is a quick and flavorful dinner. Tender chicken and pasta are coated in a rich, spicy cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Add the cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly. Heat for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes
