Large pasta shells filled with a creamy mixture of shrimp, crab, and ricotta cheese, baked in a white sauce.

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix shrimp, crab, ricotta, Parmesan, egg, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each shell with the seafood mixture.
  5. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually whisk in milk and cream. Cook until thickened, about 3 minutes. Stir in parsley.
  7. Spread half of the sauce in a baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells in the dish. Pour remaining sauce over top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • You can substitute crab with more shrimp or use imitation crab.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
