1 pound potato gnocchi
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
8 ounces burrata cheese
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
Cook gnocchi according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add cooked gnocchi to the sauce. Stir well to coat.
Tear burrata into pieces and place on top of the gnocchi.
Cover the skillet and cook for 2 minutes until cheese softens.
Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
Notes
Use homemade or store-bought gnocchi.
Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
