- 1 (30 oz) package frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup French onion dip
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (6 oz) French fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the thawed hash browns, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, French onion dip, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese and the French fried onions.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the onions are golden.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of chicken soup for a different flavor.
- To make ahead, assemble the casserole without the top cheese and onions. Refrigerate, then add toppings before baking.
