- 1/2 cup loose-leaf black tea
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 10 whole cloves
- 10 whole green cardamom pods
- 1-inch fresh ginger, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1/2 cup honey or sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Combine water, tea, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, and peppercorns in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey or sugar until dissolved.
- Add vanilla extract and let steep for 5 minutes.
