- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and cloves.
- In a large bowl, beat sugars and oil until combined. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in pumpkin and water.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can substitute pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Use 2 teaspoons.
- Store bread in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Freeze for up to 3 months.
