  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups diced apples (peeled)
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk to the butter mix. Fold in apples.
  5. Pour half the batter into the pan. Drizzle with half the caramel. Add remaining batter.
  6. Make crumble: combine oats, brown sugar, and cold butter. Sprinkle over batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan.
  8. Drizzle with remaining caramel before serving.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
