Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces sliced turkey breast
  • 1/2 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 ounce sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat a panini press or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Layer turkey, apple slices, and cheddar on the unbuttered side of one bread slice.
  4. Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
  5. Place the sandwich in the panini press or skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until bread is golden and cheese melts.
  6. Flip if using a skillet. Cook another 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use a firm apple like Granny Smith for best texture.
  • Substitute whole wheat bread for a healthier option.
  • Add spinach or arugula for extra greens.
