  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook meatballs until browned on all sides, about 8 minutes.
  5. Remove meatballs and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add pumpkin puree, heavy cream, chicken broth, sage, and nutmeg.
  7. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  8. Return meatballs to the skillet.
  9. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens and meatballs are cooked through.

Notes

  • Use fresh sage for a stronger flavor.
  • Serve over pasta or rice.
  • Leftovers keep in the fridge for 3 days.
