- 4 large apples (Granny Smith or Fuji)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers or cereal flakes
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core each apple from the top, leaving the bottom intact. Slice the top part into thin wedges, fanning them out slightly.
- Mix melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- In another bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, and crushed graham crackers.
- Dip each apple in the butter mixture, then roll in the dry mixture, pressing to coat.
- Place apples in a baking dish. Spoon remaining butter mixture over the tops.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until apples are tender and coating is golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
