Classic deviled eggs with a creamy, tangy filling. A simple appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and cool eggs under cold running water. Peel and cut in half lengthwise.
  3. Scoop out yolks into a bowl. Mash yolks with a fork.
  4. Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper to yolks. Mix until smooth.
  5. Spoon or pipe yolk mixture into egg white halves.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika. Refrigerate until serving.

Notes

  • For easier peeling, use older eggs or add a pinch of baking soda to the boiling water.
  • You can adjust mustard and mayo to taste.
